Monday Musings (Marble Contact Paper Sale)

Hello Monday!  I'm knee deep in a mini mudroom makeover because I wanted to add some color to the room and had extra Comfort Grey to use from my dining room.  The door's getting painted, the stripes are going, and I'm looking for a new rug.  Target has some great rugs at good prices (over $50 ships free) with a better selection than you see in the stores.  I like this one, seems fun for a mudroom:

Boho Boutique Medallion Floral Area Rug (I had to click "quick info" and actually "add to cart" to make it show up as available- weird.)

And I always look for rugs at Joss & Main.  Here's the contender there:

I may need to change out the bench seat fabric too.

Also, remember when I made a faux marble console table top with marble contact paper?

The paper I used retails for $65 a roll for 18" x 49.5'.  If you don't need that much, you can use inexpensive marble contact paper from Amazon  ($10.99 for 17.7" x 78.7" roll).  That's what Carrie of Dream Green DIY used for her mid-century side table.  Looks great!

Hope you have a great Monday!  My son is the "Star of the Week" at school and he's so excited!
