Dining Room Updates

Happy Monday friends!  Did you have a good weekend?  Ours was pretty laid back, but we did manage to put some finishing touches on our dining room after recently painting the walls Sherwin Williams Comfort Grey (lightened 75%).  I hemmed and hung the drapes back up, added new mirrors to the wall, and shopped my house for some aqua and green summery decor items.

The back wall of the dining room is really long, so I wanted to switch out our previous smaller rectangular mirror for giant round mirror.  All of the round mirrors I sourced online were more than I wanted to spend, and I kept checking Homegoods, but couldn't find a round one large enough.  I tried moving our round breakfast room mirror here, but it was too small, and I really like it in it's original spot.

On one trip to Homegoods, I found several mirrors in the same style, but varying sizes for a great price ($50 for the large one and $40 each for the two smaller ones).  I brought them home to see how they would look in the space and think they work really well.  I credit my husband for his mathematical and precise hanging skills.  I cooked lunch while he hung the mirrors.  :)

I'm so happy with this wall color we ended up choosing.  Of course, now I want to use it somewhere else in our home, perhaps the mudroom?  It's very fresh and soothing, perfect for a bedroom too.

The decor items are from Kirkland's (the chevron vase), Homegoods (the lanterns, seahorse, and basket), West Elm (throw), and Barnes & Noble ("sandy feet" sign).  The console table is the World Market Everett Foyer Table. Such a great deal at only $250.  I'm still looking for pulls for the drawers.

The mirror that was in this room before was moved to the entryway and looks great there.  It's bigger than the mirror that was in the entryway before, which I moved to the upstairs hallway.  I guess it's been a bit of musical mirrors around here, but I'm sure you can relate!
